Bernadette combines traditional techniques with contemporary themes in her art. Her journey as an artist is filled with passion and a deep connection to her craft. She spent many years working in Europe and Africa with her husband. After returning home, Bernadette then worked as a Manager for a couple of UK companies until retirement.
Bernadette then decided to return to her love of Art and attended York College to study the subject full time.
Now resident in East Yorkshire, her views are very different to city life. The rolling landscapes tend to provoke a more emotional response than a representational one.
Her work has been exhibited in York and East Yorkshire Open Studios, several galleries in York and surrounding areas as well as Ripon Cathedral.
